For Shoppers:

  • We will have 1 large group dressing room. This will help speed up the wait times for the dressing room line. Tank tops, leggings or bike shorts are recommended for trying on items in this dressing room.

 

For Sellers:

 

In order to participate in future events, STB requires Sellers to sell at least 35% of their items. We understand consignment events are a learned skill, so there will be a grace period/grace sale for those new sellers.

 

Because quality is extremely important to us, we will be implementing a NEW policy regarding damaged items brought to the sale. Any seller that brings 10+ items that are stained, ripped, missing buttons, have holes, or excessive wear, will be flagged in our online system, receive a warning email, and may be prevented from selling at future Scarlet Threads events. These items will be marked and returned to the sellers at the end of the sale. If the items is marked DONATE, it will be donated.

 

PLEASE inspect your items BEFORE drop off! After washing your items, bring them near a window with natural light, then give them an extra examination before tagging. This new inspection will go into effect this sale…don’t be caught off guard. We only want your BEST!

SELLER COMMISSION BREAKDOWN

  • Sellers that help during a Premium Shift (see schedule for shift options) shop at 1pm, pay 25% commission keeping 75% of sales.

  • Sellers that help run the event for 12 hours (3 shifts) shop at 1pm, pay 25% commission keeping 75% of sales.

  • Sellers that help run the event for 8 hours (2 shifts) shop at 2pm, pay 30% commission keeping 70% of sales.

  • Sellers that help run the event for 4 hours (1 shift) shop at 3pm, pay 35% commission keeping 65% of sales.

  • Sellers that do NOT help run the event shop at 5pm, pay 40% commission keeping 60% of sales.

  • DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF DONATIONS AND COMMUNICATION WITH OUR CHARITIES WE WILL NO LONGER BE OFFERING A 5% COMMISSION FOR DONATE ALL. 75% COMMISSION CAN STILL BE EARNED BY WORKING THE SALE. WE STILL ENCOURAGE DONATIONS AS IT HELPS OUR COMMUNITY.

Hangers:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

  • Although we will still be providing pant hangers, we will only be providing them for pants/jeans and shorts. Skirts, Athletic Shorts, Strapless Tops and All Leggings, will be required to be clipped on a plastic hanger with clothespins (see picture above).

  • Wide neck tops/dresses and open kimonos will also need to be secured to plastic hangers with clothespins. *See photos for examples.

Drop Off Procedures:

​

  • Sellers will be putting their own clothing on the racks. We will have event helpers to assist you, but please be aware of this change. Drop offs usually take around 30 minutes, so please allow more time if you have 100+ items. The Items will be thoroughly inspected by event helpers AFTER drop offs. Please double check your items for stains, rips, holes, broken zippers, etc. BEFORE you bring them to the sale.

  • Sellers will be receiving a more detailed email regarding what to expect at drop off.

Drop Off Requirement:

​

  • Please bring a large lidless bin LABELED WITH YOUR SELLER NUMBER ON THE FRONT AND BACK. This helps us return your unsold items organized and ready for an easy pick up for you. If you are DONATING ALL unsold items, you will NOT need to bring a bin! 

    • 1 lidless bin if selling 99 items or less

    • 2 lidless bins if selling 100+ items

 

New Tags:

​

  •  If you are selling an item that you have attempted to sell before, we are asking that you lower the price and print a new tag. If an item has been to 2 or more sales, please consider donating the items instead of selling it at Scarlet Threads.

 

Item Limits:

​

  • Pants/Skinny (5 item limit) We are accepting only current on trend skinny jeans.

  • Pants/Designer (5 item limit) We are accepting only current on trend designer pants.

  • Pants/Non Designer/Non Skinny (5 item limit) Examples include: Khaki’s, capris, bootcut jeans, straight leg jeans, wide leg.

  • Skirts (3 item limit)

  • Jewelry (35 item limit)

  • Scarves – No longer accepted

  • Lularoe/Shein/Temu  – No longer accepted

  • No fake floral arrangements

  • No Jeans with bling and thick white/yellow stitching
